This is a big family residence with the family being traditional in cultural habit. So there was a big concern about the primary gathering space that should have enough light & ventilation while not compromising the privacy of the bedrooms.  The design gives priority to the central living space orienting the other functions around it. The construction method and the space characters were influenced by the traditional courtyard based residential culture of Bangladeshi rural areas.
